School Profile
The school was originally located at No. 298 Zhonghua Road in Dayuan District. In light of the plans for the Taoyuan Aerotropolis, the school was relocated to its current site in February 2018. Aesthetic designs for the school after its relocation included images of the Aerotropolis, with the gates shaped in the contours of a plane, complete with a control tower, air bridge and so forth to make the students feel as if they were attending school at an airport.
Diverse Activities
Sports Competition
The school has organized various sports competitions, including fitness workouts, field games, track games, basketball competitions, jump rope competitions and so forth. Through a diversity of sports games and events, we will be able to strengthen the students’ spirit of team work while helping them develop sportsmanship.
Arts Competition
The school has organized competitions such as recorder competitions, language competitions, English competition, English reader’s theatre and so forth in order for the students to develop their aesthetic sensibilities and potentials in a natural and authentic environment.
Gifted Classes
Gifted Music Class
The class has been established to enable gifted students in the area of music to further develop their potentials. Apart from offering the rest of the school with pleasant music, these students would also be able to benefit from a sense of achievement and happiness through learning. The class is intended for musically inclined students to build a solid foundation in the discipline so that they will be able to continue their pursuit in music when they advance to senior high schools.
Gifted P.E. Class
Be smart and be fit! The PE class is not just about outstanding sports techniques but also involves clever tactics. Students with a knack for physical activities and sports are more than welcome to join the class.
International Education
Sister Schools
We have become a sister school of Higashikagura Junior High School of Japan and Mulkum Donga Middle School of Korea and regular visits over the years have further strengthened our bonds. Our exchanges include relevant courses, homestay and so forth to enable students to experience different cultures and programs in a natural and authentic atmosphere, thereby allowing the schools to become even more intimate.
■Hiring of Foreign Teacher
■Our foreign teacher Tim joined the school during the second semester of 2016. He has been working with our English teachers ever since to create more opportunities for students to practice English speaking and listening in order to help students become more motivated in improving their mastery of the language.
Reading Education
Library
The two-story library with raised ceilings is well-lit with an extensive collection of books. The spacious reading area makes for an ideal place for students to spend their spare time in between classes and after school.
Reading Education
The school has organized a series of reading events such as book exhibitions, workshops by famous authors, newspaper in education, reading report competitions, song lyric rewrite and so forth. Hopefully through these reading activities we will be able to instill students with a greater interest in reading.
